Dr. LeMar Hamilton hails from the beautiful island of Jamaica. There he earned his degree in Experimental Biology from the University of the West Indies before graduating from the Medical Faculty at the same institution. He brings a strong background in Biology and passion for life to his practice which he infused while working briefly in General Practice before immigrating to the United States. His professional interests include preventative care, men’s health and sports medicine. Outside of his professional life, enjoys staying active at the gym, exploring the world art, reading, and discovering new culinary experiences at various restaurants.

Laura Ximena Hernandez, MD

Dr. Hernandez was born, raised and finished her medical school in Colombia. After earning her medical degree, she provided primary care at the only community clinic in a remote area of Northern Boyacá. In her role as head physician, she witnessed the drivers of social health and faced the challenges of community leadership. This experience heightened her awareness of the health system’s limitations and emphasized the importance of advocating for access to essential medical services. It was during this time that her passion for Family Medicine flourished, leading her to pursue a specialization in the field. In 2023, she joined the UCLA International Medical Graduate Program. During her clinical rotations at several UCLA-affiliated hospitals and clinics, she gained insight into the California health care system and the needs of California’s diverse underserved population. Outside of medicine she enjoys cycling and wilderness camping with her loved ones.

Haig Karsian, DO

Dr. Haig Karsian, a Los Angeles native, discovered his passion for medicine through his studies in anthropology at UCLA, where he focused on how culture and upbringing shape our healthcare experiences. He earned his medical degree with honors from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. Dr. Karsian’s approach is grounded in osteopathic principles, emphasizing the body’s natural ability to heal itself. With a special interest in exercise, nutrition, and mental health, he guides his patients toward holistic well-being through an integrated approach to healing the body, mind, and spirit. In his free time, he enjoys exploring LA’s diverse food scene, attending live music events, lifting weights, running, and playing tennis.

Sevak Nersesyans, MD

Dr. Nersesyans, originally from Iran, made his way to the U.S. at the age of 20 to chase his dreams in higher education. He earned his bachelor’s in biology from CSULA and continued his journey at Ross University School of Medicine. His passion for family medicine stems from his desire to care for patients across all ages, and he’s a strong believer in the transformative power of medical research for the future of medicine. Here’s a fun twist: before diving into medical school, Dr. Nersesyans worked as a medical transport driver, shuttling patients to and from Mission Community Hospital—little did he know he’d be returning as their physician one day! Outside of medicine, he’s an avid soccer player who loves hitting the field with friends and enjoys playing tennis with his wife. Family time is precious, especially with his dog, Figo, who’s named after the Portuguese soccer legend Luis Figo.

Moadh A. Saef, MD

Dr. Moadh Saef was born in Yemen and grew up in Bakersfield California, where he studied biology at CSUB. Driven by his passion for biology, he pursued a career in medicine and graduated from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. Committed to helping underserved communities, Dr. Saef has served in various underprivileged areas both domestically and internationally. In his free time, he loves exploring beaches, forests, and parks with his wife and three children. He also enjoys gardening, sports, ceviche, and sushi.

Atoosa Shahriari, MD

Atoosa Shahriari grew up in a small, loving family in Tehran. After finishing medical school in Tehran, She had the wonderful experience of working and volunteering in rural and underserved areas, where she learned about the significant impact family medicine physicians have on their communities. She enjoys talking to patients from all walks of life and believes that a person’s well-being includes both physical and spiritual aspects which maintaining health in both areas is important. Outside of medicine, Atoosa enjoys walking in nature, dancing Zumba, traveling around the world with her family, and teaching her parrot new words.

Chidiebere Udechukwu, MD

Dr Udechukwu was born and raised in the eastern part of Nigeria. He completed his medical education at Kharkov National Medical University, Ukraine. After moving to the United States, he worked in the Hematology/Oncology department at UCI Medical Center as a Clinical Research Coordinator. He also worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Masimo Corporation, Irvine where he played a key role in advancing medical technologies. Dr Udechukwu is passionate about making healthcare accessible to all, particularly to those who face cultural, socioeconomic, and language barriers. His goal is to develop and implement healthcare solutions that are tailored to the individual needs of vulnerable populations, ensuring that everyone has access to quality care. Outside of his professional work, Dr. Udechukwu cherishes time with his family and enjoys playing and watching soccer, a sport that connects him to his roots and community.

Arthur Peter Yagubyan Jr., MD

Dr. Arthur Peter Yagubyan was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He attended California State University, Northridge where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Driven by a passion for medicine and a desire to help others, he pursued his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Yagubyan fell in love with family medicine due to the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while providing a broad scope of care that benefits both individuals and their communities. As a first-generation college and medical school graduate in his family, Dr. Yagubyan is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to the residents of his community. His professional interests include sports medicine and preventive medicine. He is excited to bring his enthusiasm for primary care, advocacy, and health equity to MCH Family Medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Yagubyan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching movies, and playing basketball.

Naima Naser Chowdhury, MD

Dr. Naima Naser Chowdhury was born and raised in Chittagong, a coastal city in Bangladesh, where her passion for medicine was sparked at a young age. She earned her medical degree from Chittagong Medical College, then explored various fields of medicine where she came to understand the real-world challenges of healthcare disparities—including limited access, affordability, and cultural barriers. She found that evidence-based, holistic patient centered care is one of the most effective ways to address these issues, a realization that became even more evident after moving to the United States and working as a medical assistant at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital outpatient clinic.

Known for her empathy and active listening, Dr. Chowdhury thrives in collaborative environments and values building long-term relationships with patients. Her interest in family medicine stems from a desire to promote preventive health and serve diverse communities. She is especially passionate about geriatric medicine and women’s health. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, exploring different cuisines, and traveling with her family.

Yuntao Dai, MD

Dr. Dai was born and raised in China. He came to the United States in his early twenties for graduate studies and earned a PhD in stem cell and cancer research at The Ohio State University. He subsequently pursued a medical degree there and obtained his MD. In his final year, Dr. Dai chose to defer applying for residency in order to gain a broader perspective on healthcare through entrepreneurship, pharmaceuticals, and global health. He visited and studied medical systems in the U.S., Japan, Singapore, mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau—touring over a hundred hospitals and volunteering at selected facilities to deepen his understanding. Driven by a mission to strengthen primary care and meet the needs of aging populations, Dr. Dai is committed to a lifelong career in Family Medicine.

Amanpreet Kaur, DO

Dr. Amanpreet Kaur, DO grew up in the greater Seattle area and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology – Physiology with a minor in Microbiology from the University of Washington in 2018. She then pursued her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. As a first-generation college and medical school graduate, Dr. Kaur is deeply committed to improving healthcare access, particularly among underserved and low-income communities. Her professional interests include addiction medicine, patient advocacy, and preventive medicine with a focus on providing full-spectrum, patient-centered care. Dr. Kaur is excited to work with the diverse local community of Los Angeles and further develop her skills in primary care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, training at the gym and spending time with her family and friends.

Christianne Reyes, MD

Dr. Christianne Reyes was born in the Bay Area and grew up in Maryland and Virginia. After earning a BS in Biology from CNU, she worked with ESL students in the York County public schools before enrolling at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. Upon graduation, she was given the opportunity to become licensed as a general practitioner in the Philippines. Her experiences before and after medical training have inspired a lifelong goal of providing holistic, quality healthcare and fostering enriching relationships with both patients and colleagues. Living abroad has also nurtured her love for traveling, hiking, and spending time with her dog.

Klevin Reyes, MD

Dr. Klevin Roger L. Reyes earned his Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in the Philippines. He brings extensive clinical and research experience, including international work in primary care and cardiology research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Guided by a passion for patient-centered care, he strives to provide competent, compassionate, and individualized treatment, drawing on personal and family experiences as patients to foster empathy and trust. Dr. Reyes values a holistic approach, addressing physical, emotional, and social factors to create tailored care plans. A devoted family man, he understands the challenges of balancing personal life and medicine, which enriches his practice in family medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, home renovation, tennis, reptile care, and exploring nature.

Mariia Vlasova, MD

Dr. Maria Vlasova was born and raised in Russia. She is a fourth-generation doctor, following in the footsteps of her parents, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dr. Maria graduated with honors from Altai State Medical University and upon graduation, began working at a Coronavirus Hospital at the start of the pandemic. During her studies at the university, she conducted research in physiology, worked as a nurse, and volunteered at the hospital. Dr. Maria chose family medicine because she likes the opportunity to be able to treat a variety of diseases and work with patients of all ages. She loves medicine with all her heart and is passionate about helping patients in need. Outside of medicine, Dr. Maria enjoys studying psychology, exploring new places, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ninelle Zargarian, DO

Dr. Ninelle Zargarian was born and raised in Glendale, CA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from University of California, Los Angeles, and completed her medical education at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Within the scope of family medicine, she plans to specialize in women’s health and preventive medicine. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, cooking, and going to the beach.

Daniel Zumerkorn Hassan, MD

After moving to the U.S., he worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at Cedars-Sinai, contributing to multiple publications in interventional cardiology. Passionate about comprehensive, community-based care, he transitioned to Family Medicine to serve patients across all life stages. His interests include preventive care, maternal-child health, and medical education. Outside of medicine, he enjoys sports, drone photography, and spending time with his wife and children.

Isabel Brickman, MD

Originally from Metro Detroit, Dr. Isabel Brickman attended the University of Michigan, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She then moved abroad to pursue her medical degree at the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine. Dr. Brickman is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and is truly looking forward to serving the community in the San Fernando Valley.

Her professional interests include preventative medicine, community health, and wellness. When she’s not at the hospital, you can usually find her spending time with her family, heading to the beach, or staying active with yoga and Pilates.

Rebecca Golbari, MD

Dr. Rebecca Golbari was born and raised in Los Angeles. She earned her medical degree from the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. During medical school, she was involved in clinical research at Rambam Health Care Campus, focusing on Pompe disease.

She is dedicated to patient-centered care and values building long-term, trusting relationships with her patients and colleagues. She prioritizes preventive care, focusing on early intervention and patient education to support long-term health and well-being. Her experiences in both clinical and community settings have shaped her commitment to compassionate, relationship-based care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends.

Jane Lee, DO

A California native and first-generation Korean American physician, Dr. Lee’s dedication to medicine is rooted in service and a natural appreciation for family-centered care, inspired by her close relationship with her grandmother. She earned her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and her medical degree from Liberty University.

Committed to health equity, she has focused on community outreach and global health, serving local refugee families and participating in international medical missions. Dr. Lee’s professional interests include geriatrics, with an emphasis on empowering elderly patients through collaborative, clear communication. Outside of the hospital and clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, traveling, and cheering for the Dodgers and LAFC.

Asher Mirvish, MD

Dr. Asher Mirvish grew up in San Francisco and graduated from UC Davis with a degree in mathematics. He has tutored math consistently since high school. Collegiate highlights include experiences in rowing and powerlifting. He then completed a post-baccalaureate program at San Francisco State University to transition careers to medicine. He worked for an orthopedic surgeon in San Francisco while applying to medical school.

His experiences both during and after college shaped his interests in sports medicine and helping patients navigate around insurance barriers. He attained his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is grateful to be back in his home state, where he spends his free time weightlifting, cooking, playing video games, and exploring new neighborhoods with family and friends.

Ariel Joseph Pazooky, MD

Dr. Ariel Joseph Pazooky grew up in Los Angeles and studied history at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his medical degree from Technion American Medical School. During his training, Dr. Pazooky volunteered in hospitals serving underserved populations, including helping patients meet religious needs during hospitalization, such as arranging Shabbat meals and supporting access to religious practices for Jewish patients without adequate resources.

These experiences strengthened his commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and to serving medically underserved communities. His professional interests include chronic disease management, preventive care, and underserved care. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, playing soccer, and solving the Rubik’s Cube.

Angela Sanchez, MD

Dr. Angela Sanchez, MD hailed from New York, where she studied Anthropology at Hamilton College. She completed her post baccalaureate premedical training at Columbia University, which cultivated her dedication to patient centered longitudinal care. She attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. During medical school she was involved in leadership and civic engagement including the International Federation Medical Student Association (IFMSA), where she served as Finance Director and Director of the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP). In this role, she led community health initiatives, organized educational workshops and advocated for underserved populations.

She brings an extensive background in clinical research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in internal medicine and medical informatics. Fluent in English and Spanish, her interests include preventive medicine, health equity, and building long-term relationships with her patients. Outside of medicine, she enjoys embarking on new culinary expeditions, traveling, exploring theme parks, and training at the gym.

Zi Lin Tan, DO

Dr. Zi Lin Tan was born in Malaysia and raised in the Bay Area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and later earned her medical degree from the Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine. She chose Family Medicine because of her passion for caring for patients from all walks of life and building meaningful, long-term relationships rooted in trust and compassion.

She is committed to providing full-spectrum, patient-centered care to make a positive impact in the lives of her patients and community. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, ballet, Pilates, casual pickleball, watching anime, exploring local restaurants and boba spots, and searching for the best mango green tea.

Elizabeth L. Turner, DO

Dr. Elizabeth Turner grew up in the Los Angeles area before moving to Utah, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and later attended Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, she followed her passion for improving patient care to Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where she completed a clinical research fellowship focused on pediatric and adult eye disorders. Her experiences there strengthened her passion for thoughtful, patient-centered medicine and lifelong learning.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Turner loves anything creative or hands-on. She spent part of college baking wedding and celebration cakes, and still finds any excuse to make treats for friends and family. She also enjoys long walks with a good playlist or audiobook, staying active, and unwinding with video games alongside her family. After years away for school and training, she is thrilled to have returned home to the Los Angeles area, to live close to her family, and to care for the same diverse community that helped shape who she is today.
