He oversees the residents, faculty, administration, and medical students. Dr. Sevilla is also an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry &amp; Bio-behavioral Sciences at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and previously was the Medical Director of the Olive View Urgent Care\/ Crisis Stabilization Unit. Obrocea M.D., Ph.D. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Adjunct Professor of Research<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Obrocea is a board-certified specialist in psychiatry with fellowship training in neuro-psychopharmacology and biological psychiatry with emphasis in the area of cyclic mood disorders. Dr. Obrocea obtained her MD degree in 1986 from the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy &#8211; Faculty of General Medicine, Bucharest, Romania, with academic distinction. She obtained her PhD degree from the University of Ottawa, School of Graduate Studies and Research in 1998. Dr Obrocea has published numerous manuscripts on cyclic mood disorders and has been the recipient of multiple awards from the State Department of Mental Health for excellence of care on clinical research to mentoring psychiatry residents. He is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a passion to providing personalized care for the older adult population and he specializes in the areas of behavioral management of neurocognitive disorders and neuromodulation. He completed his psychiatry residency at Louisiana State University in 2005, followed by a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at UCLA.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Sahba has over 18 years of experience serving at an 800-bed psychiatric state hospital, where he provided patient care and held key leadership positions, including Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee. He has also served as an attending psychiatrist at UCLA Olive View Medical Center, where he supervised and mentored psychiatry residents.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sahba serves as a California Medical Board Expert Examiner, providing expert opinions on the quality of care provided by other psychiatrists and offering testimony in court. He graduated cum laude with B.S. in Biology at the University of California, San Diego. After spending time working in the fields of biotechnology and electronic healthcare software, he graduated from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel, one of the top technical institutes in the world. He then went on to complete his residency in Neurology at Northwell Health, the largest health system in New York before returning to California.
