She has joined the Mission Community Hospital with 12 years\u2019 experience in Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Farhadian is a graduate of the California Healthcare Foundation(CHCF) Leadership Fellowship. She is also a Certified Physician Executive. She is currently a member of the CAFP Foundation Board of Trustees. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, a Masters in Health Professions Education from John Hospkins School of Medicine and a Fellowship in Academic Medicine. After a few years of clinical practice and leadership experience, she completed a fellowship in Functional Medicine through A4M. During her academic medicine leadership tenure, she completed a National Program Directors&#8217; Leadership training. Based in Los Angeles, her practice focuses on integrative and functional medicine for adults, children, and geriatric patients, with an emphasis on nutrition, lifestyle, and healthy aging. She currently serves as Associate Program Director for Family Medicine Residency and is the author of\u00a0Clinical Mind Maps \u2013 Using the Epi-logical Approach. He was born and raised in Southern California. Dr. Hajian earned his medical degree from Rocky Vista University in Parker, Colorado. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at College Medical Center in Long Beach, California. Dr. Hajian is board certified in family medicine. She completed residency training in Family Medicine at Inova Fairfax Medical Center in Fairfax, Virginia, followed by an Obstetrics fellowship at CarePoint Health in Hoboken, New Jersey. She is passionate about women\u2019s health and prenatal care. Over the past 35 years, he practiced Family Medicine at Austin Regional Clinic, Austin Texas. U.S. and International Health care disparity has led him to practice Family Medicine from urban Hartford, Connecticut to rural Nebraska, the Caribbean and South Pacific islands. Dr. Meyerson is excited to be training Family Medicine residents and anticipates learning as much as he teaches. Michail, MD, CMD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Core Faculty, Geriatric Medicine<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. James Michail was raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. He has a special interest in the science of aging and advocating for rights of the older population. Dr. Michail also specializes in post-acute and long-term care medicine as a Certified Medical Director. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology from the Davis School of Gerontology. He then attained his MD degree from St. George&#8217;s University in Grenada. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY, and his Geriatrics fellowship at the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Michail is an avid tennis player and enjoys mountain biking. She has joined Mission Community Hospital and will be working closely with residents. Her clinical interests include women\u2019s health, preventive medicine, diabetes management, and cardiovascular disease.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Qozi-Habash earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and has been in practice for over a decade. She earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency and fellowship at Lancaster General Hospital in central Pennsylvania. She is trained in immediate and preventive care for people of all ages, as well as the management of chronic health conditions. She is passionate about providing high quality evidence-based care, and she takes great joy in partnering with patients and their families and engaging in advocacy efforts to promote the health and well-being of older adults.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Torsney-Weir is from Pennsylvania, but has lived in the Los Angeles area for over a decade. She went to the University of Southern California for undergrad (Fight On!), earned her MD and Public Health Certificate from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Flint, and completed her Family Medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA. She recently received a Master&#8217;s in Health Policy and Management from UCLA and graduated from the UCLA Preventive Medicine Fellowship. Her previous work covers topics of healthcare worker burnout, workforce retention, and investing in primary care.
